Sibylle Schmitt

Sibylle Schmitt studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and ENSA Montpellier. In 2018, she completed her studies with the master's thesis "Grand siècle - grande échelle or the dream of the "palais collectif" under Prof. Markus Allmann and Prof. Klaus Jan Philipp. After internships at Palais Mai Architects in Munich and freelance work at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, among others, she began her practical work at Vécsey Schmidt Architects in Basel. Here she won the competition for the "Neue Kuppel Basel" from 2019-2024 and managed projects in all phases. In 2025, she and her partner founded BUREAU SISE. Together they work on small renovation projects and competitions. Since 2025, Sibylle Schmitt has been a research assistant at the Chair for City and Housing at KIT.
