Maximilian von Zepelin

Maximilian von Zepelin studied architecture at the Bauhaus University Weimar. During his studies he was a research assistant at the Archiv der Moderne Weimar, completed an internship at Jägnefält Milton in Stockholm and was co-editor of the student magazine Horizonte. In 2018, he completed his studies with a indepentent master's thesis under the professors Verena von Beckerath and Elli Mosayebi. This was followed by a position at the Chair of Design and Housing with Prof. Verena von Beckerath at the Bauhaus University Weimar, focusing on a research project on the interconnections between the Bauhaus and Japan in the 1930s and 1940s, which culminated in 2019 with the film Two Houses and the publication Two Houses Texts. He has co-curated various exhibitions, including Some Investigations in Collective Form at the Architekturgalerie Berlin. Since 2018 Maximilian von Zepelin has been working at Edelaar Mosayebi Inderbitzin Architekt*innen in Zurich, and since 2023 he is a research assistent at the Chair of City and Housing at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
