Maximilian von Zepelin

Maximilian von Zepelin studied architecture at Bauhaus University Weimar. During his time there, he worked as a research assistant at the Weimar Modernism Archive, completed an internship at Jägnefelt Milton in Stockholm and acted as co-editor of the student magazine Horizons. He completed his studies in 2018 with an independent master's thesis under Professors Verena von Beckerath and Elli Mosayebi. He then worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Design and Housing Construction under Professor Verena von Beckerath at Bauhaus University Weimar. His work focused on a research project investigating the connections between the Bauhaus and Japan in the 1930s and 1940s. This project was completed in 2019 with the film Two Houses and the publication Two Houses Texts. He has co-curated various exhibitions, including 'Some Investigations in Collective Format' at the Architekturgalerie Berlin. Since 2018, Maximilian von Zepelin has worked at Edelaar Mosayebi Inderbitzin Architects in Zurich, and since 2023 he has worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Urbanism and Housing at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
