Prof. Christian Inderbitzin

Christian Inderbitzin was born in Kilchberg, near Zurich, in 1977. After graduating from Rämibühl High School for Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Zurich, he studied architecture at ETH Zurich from 1997 to 2004. He completed his studies with a freelance thesis at the ETH Studio Basel under Professors Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron. Following a brief period at Meili, Peter Architekten, he worked as a research assistant at the ETH Studio from 2005 to 2015 under Professors Roger Diener and Marcel Meili. During this period, he also founded Edelaar Mosayebi Inderbitzin Architekten in Zurich with Elli Mosayebi and Ron Edelaar

The firm's wide-ranging activities include designing and realising building projects, urban planning, exhibitions, and publications. A particular focus of their research, teaching and practice is residential construction. In 2014, Ron Edelaar, Elli Mosayebi and Christian Inderbitzin were admitted to the Association of Swiss Architects. Christian Inderbitzin has taught at TU Graz (2011), EPF Lausanne (2015/16), ETH Zurich (2017/18) and TU Munich (2019). In 2019, he was awarded the Swiss Art Award. Projects by Edelaar Mosayebi Inderbitzin have been published, awarded and exhibited many times.
